My fearless partner, Fred Fowler,
acquired his djembe drum in New Orleans' Frech Quarter on Halloween. The next
day, All Saints Day, he presented it to the long-dead master drummer and Bokor,
Doctor John, who was said to drum in Congo Square for the famous Voudoo Queen,
Marie Laveau.
